On the personal front, Engineer Mirza Tariqul Husain Babul was married to the late Syeda Afifa Fatima, fondly known as Shiru. Their life together was filled with shared dreams and mutual support until her untimely passing on March 22, 2005. Their bond and memories continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew them.

Engineer Mirza Tariqul Husain Babul and Syeda Afifa Fatima are the parents of two children: their daughter, Lusha Mirza, and their son, Mirza Faisal. Both have followed in their father’s footsteps, achieving success in their careers. Lusha Mirza is an IT professional who works as a team leader at the ICPC Secretariat Dhaka, which is part of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC). Her work significantly contributes to the nation’s technological advancement and digital transformation. She is married to Dr. Iqbal Kabir, a specialist in Climate Change and Health, and is also a singer who has participated in numerous cultural events. Mirza Faisal, their son, is employed at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. His pivotal role in formulating health policies is essential for the citizens’ welfare. He is married to Shagufta Sharmin.
